This is the 256th and last board, the "Split Screen"
Split Screen

Pattern method Hiding Spot method

Besides the dots on the left side of the board, there are 9 dots on the right side that you can eat as well. Of the 9, only 5 are visible. The image is marked-up to show where the 9 dots are. These dots have an interesting behavior in that when you eat them, they reappear after you die. Therefore, in order to maximize points on the split screen, you must eat the 9 dots with every man you have remaining, including the man you started the split screen with.

Split Screen 9 dots on right side of board

This section outlines the pattern method for clearing the split screen. This pattern is only used for your first man on the split screen. It clears the bulk of the left side, gets the key, grabs the 9 hidden dots, and then clears the rest of the left side. If you can't completely clear the entire left side of the board with your first man, don't worry, you have all your remaining men to clear the left side. Just make sure you get the 9 hidden dots with every man and don't miss the one key when it appears. Take note of how you can exit the edge of the board in places you wouldn't expect and reappear on the opposite side.

This pattern can be used for all your remaining men on the split screen. All you are doing here is getting the 9 hidden dots and then cleaning up the left side of the board if there are any dots left over there. This pattern does not have to be followed exactly turn for turn like other Pac-Man patterns, but it will give you a good idea of how to safely get the 9 hidden dots.
